How ballon is inflated? – by distilled water / normal saline / air
Why bichannel? – 2 channel
- Straight channel for drainage of urine
- oblique channel to inflate the ballon
Sterilization: GAMMA radiation
Use:
- Continuous drainage of urine –
- Unconscious patient
- Prostatic operation
- Major operation
- Measure urine output
- Maintenance of urine input-output chart
- Irrigation of Urinary bladder after prostectomy
