Use:

• To catch hold any bleeding vessels for haemostasis
• To catch hold the peritoneum, rectus sheath
• To catch hold the tip of any suture material
• During operation of inguinal hernia to catch hold the cut end of external oblique muscle
• Diathermy coagulation
• To catch hold the bladder wall
• Crushing in appendisectomy
